So we're about to set off, T-3 days as I sit here and type. Last minute preparations are underway, we're packed and we're just in the process of registering with Red24 incase it all goes a bit pear shaped.
The Route is still a bit fluid (and needs to remain so) because of the current political turmoil in north Africa and the Middle East. At the time of writing the plan is something like this:
South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey...all of which is subject to change.
The aim is that we'll email updates to our son who'll update the blog as and when we send updates. If we get a chance we'll send photos too and try to keep our online photo album up to date too.

We're aiming to be back in the UK around September 2011 - so will have about 6 months on the road.
